Trying to get into Porn‏

Hi, I'm Daniel.

I'm 29, I'm straight and I'm trying to enter the 'Adult Entertainment' industry. Ideally I'd like to find work as a model / actor / performer / whatever-you-call-the-guy-actually-shagging-on-camera; but I'd be happy consider to any other role that would lead me into the industry.

Let’s get the bad news out of the way first:

I'm a rather unfit and plain-looking pasty white guy.

I have glasses, a receding hairline, a large anchor-shaped scar carved into my chest and a distinctly average-sized penis.

I have absolutely no previous experience of the porn industry.

I have never had sex on camera.

I have no knowledge of the technical aspects of photography or film-making.

I already have a 9 – 5 ‘proper’ job.

I live in rural and remote Mid-Wales.

The nearest thing I've done to porn is a couple of glamour shoots with Maxim Magazine in 2005. One of those photos is attached.

I may not be a hugely-endowed hunk; but I am an honest (see above) and reliable guy. I’m polite, friendly and open-minded; and more importantly, I’m a fast learner who’ll work hard and try to make the most of any opportunities I’m given.

I’m happy to travel, and I’m even willing to do a couple of shoots for free if that would give me experience and bring me into the industry.

Again, I am very keen to find work as a performer in the porn industry and I would be very grateful for any help or advice.

Jedi...Far be it for me to put you off but you fit squarely in the category of the vast proportion of guys who are already doing it for themselves and maybe this is the way you should go.

Unless a production company wants to shoot a "Least Likely To Be A Porn Star" series, if I can be brutally honest in that kick-in-the-bollocks kind of way then you are not going to get much work. Note the word "much". I can think of a couple producers who may use you so the fastest route into porn with no doubt has got to be you making your own video, put your money where your mouth is, get your tests, get a girl, in that order (there are agencies for this sort of thing) make your video and get it up on here in our video section then post again linking everyone to come and see you in action.

If you are any good then producers will be beating down your door!
