Has anybody heard of Karen Silvers Filming? I have a female friend who is supposed to be working for them this Tuesday in Birmingham having responded to this Gumtree advert:

My friend is new to the industry and has only done topless / glamour / solo stuff before. Shoot details sound vague to me, but then they have said Karen is busy filming in Italy at moment and only gets back this week. The product is being shot for USA company called RBT Productions. Anybody heard of them?

Its a con. Tell her not to go. I had an 'audition' and the guy wanted to know if I was on my period and if I was taking the pill. Apparently he has to test me out to make sure I don't sound fake, and he can't use a condom because they're not allowed. But its ok, because he can't have kids!!!!!!! And when I asked about STDs he said its ok because we all get tested on the day. WOW - amazing, do we get the results the same day too lol.

I didn't trust it one bit, so I never went. Not to mention the fact he wanted to meet me in some quiet place and then take me to his flat for the 'audition'. Where he would test me out and then I wouldn't get the job. I was not that gullible to fall for that one.

The sad part of that is I bet there si some poor unfortunate desperate soul of a girl who might actually believe that is what it is all about.

incredible but true. i have met a couple of girls like this in the days I used to have auditions at my flat and I've met a lot of colourful characters Ive sat down and lectured.

I know some of you are being right cynical and think I took advantage of these types but i couldnt not because Im some great guy but because I have a conscience.

With that in mind they say a hard on has no conscience and its dickheads like the one Tasha D describes that are making it bad for the industry at large.

Anyone remember Teresa Dan?

I felt so bad for her I gave her £20 and told her not to ever get into porn. I heard she worked for a couple producers who i know and was surprised how they could even have sex with a girl who clearly had mental issues.

well I have done some work for her and all was fine although i understand why yo would be somewhat apprehensive.. I was paid before everything i did and never had to do anything i didnt want to do. Will be doing stuff for her in january to which if the last film was anything to go by will be fun...xx

I too have had some girls offering out expecting to not get paid for the first shoot. Last one was in 2007. I have always paid for shoots and refuse to do 'free auditions'.

It's difficult knowing if a potential model is mad and should not be in the business. I suppose this comes down to experience and wisdom which OEJ certainly has.

Personally I would advise all models not to work with unknowns shooting from hotel or home but shoots should be from a reputable studio and even for 'auditions' payment must be made.

Some of the auditions I know girls have gone on do not even involve performing - mostly for reputable companies it is to check out the models personality and suitability for a role.
